Beginning September 1, 2009, certain fees for driver license and motor vehicle services will be changing. These new base fees were established by the Florida Legislature as part of the state's budget development process. Registration renewal prices for motor vehicles will increase as of September 1, 2009.
However, motor vehicles renewed in August will be renewed at the current, lower price. To renew your vehicle registration, visit www.broward.org/revenue and click Auto Tag Renewals. The two-year, biennial registration, will secure the current rates for the two-year period, saving the vehicle owner even more.
Visit your nearest tag agency by August 31, 2009, in order to renew at the current, lower price.
If you need to mail in your renewal, call 954-797-8733 for the correct price for mailing. Staff will be available to quote the correct price for either the one-year or two-year options. The hours for the Auto Tag Information Center are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please have your tag number(s) available for faster service.
