Mr. Paul Faulk has been named the new director for the Broward Addiction Recovery Center Division (BARC) of the Broward County Human Services Department. BARC provides assistance to Broward County residents or homeless individuals in Broward who are 18 years or older and experiencing alcohol and/or other drug-related problems. Services include Medically Supervised Detoxification, Residential and Non-residential Treatment and Outpatient Treatment programs.

"We are excited to have Mr. Faulk join our staff. He brings a tremendous background in education and experience in working with the special needs of those who are experiencing or recovering from alcohol or drug abuse and addiction," said Susan Myers, director of the Broward County Human Services Department.

A native of the Bronx, New York, Faulk most recently worked as the administrative director for the Department of Addiction Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. He administered all operational activities for the Addiction Medicine program, which included Outpatient Services, a Methadone Substance Abuse Treatment program and a Medically Managed Detoxification Unit. Prior to this position, Faulk was the Director of Operations for St. Barnabas's Correctional Health Services located on Rikers Island.

Faulk has a Master of Business Administration from Empire State College as well as a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Business Finance from Long Island University.
